Baker McKenzie has hired its third partner from White & Case's London office since the start of the year.

White & Case tax partner Prabhu Narasimhan is set to make the move to Bakers to grow the firm's corporate, banking and finance, private equity, capital markets and tax practice.

Narasimhan joined White & Case in 2008 from Mayer Brown and made partner at the firm in 2015.

"We've certainly made excellent progress already this year to increase our headcount in London," said Baker McKenzie's London managing partner Alex Chadwick. "With his broad transactional experience, Prabhu is another stellar hire for us."

In a statement, a spokesperson for White & Case wished Narasimhan "every success in his future endeavours".

His hire comes on the back of Baker McKenzie picking up White & Case capital markets partners Rob Mathews and David Becker in January.

Earlier this month, White & Case M&A partner Gavin Weir exited to join Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, which has recently been making a series of hires in the City.

White & Case real estate partner David Cox, meanwhile, left the firm to join King & Spalding's London base.

In February, White & Case hired O'Melveny & Myers' London partner Sherri Snelson to its New York banking practice.
