Paul Hastings has continued growing its private equity practice, with the hire of three lawyers from Hogan Lovells including London partner Ed Harris.

Harris currently leads Hogan Lovells' London private equity practice and is joined in the move to Paul Hastings in London by counsel Leanne Moezi, who will become a partner.

The firm has also hired Hogan Lovells U.S. partner Adam Brown, who will work in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.

"The addition of this global team is another example of the calibre of talent our private equity practice attracts and our commitment to our clients," Paul Hastings chairman Seth Zachary said in a statement.

Harris joined Hogan Lovells in 2014 from legacy SJ Berwin, where he had been a partner for nine years.

Paul Hastings has built out its transactional practice in London with several significant hires during the past year.

It picked up Linklaters corporate heavyweight Roger Barron and DLA Piper private equity partner Anu Balasubramanian in 2018, with the latter bringing in private equity outfit Abry Partners as a new client for the firm's London base.

While Paul Hastings has bolstered its London outfit recently, it has also seen several departures globally this year.

This week, a team of six Milan lawyers left for Herbert Smith Freehills, while three Hong Kong partners have left the firm since last autumn.
