King and Spalding

King & Spalding has hired banking and finance lawyer Anne Vrignaud as a partner in the firm's corporate, finance and investments practice group in Paris. She joins from Baker McKenzie, where she was a partner.

Vrignaud's practice includes advising on acquisition finance, real estate finance and debt restructuring work. She regularly advises major investment funds, banks and financial institutions as well as French and international lenders on complex financing.

"Anne has represented many of the best-known institutional corporate lenders, both French and international, on critical investments and transactions, so she is ideally placed to help us further develop our finance capabilities in Paris and beyond," Todd Holleman, head of the firm's corporate, finance and investments practice, said in a statement.

"Her experience lends itself to standalone banking and finance work but also complements our existing transactional capabilities, meaning we have added strength in areas such as real estate, M&A, private equity and projects," he added.

Vrignaud is the fifth partner to join King & Spalding's Paris office since mid-2018. Earlier this year, real estate partner Guillaume Aubatier joined from Ashurst, while last year M&A and private equity partner Laurent Bensaid joined from Hoche Société d'Avocats. Last summer also saw international arbitration specialists Marc-Olivier Langlois (from Hughes Hubbard & Reed) and Laurent Jaeger (from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe) join the office as partners.
