Dentons to Combine With Honduras Firm
The combination comes a month after the firm grew African footprint through a merger with a Zimbabwean firm.

Dentons is continuing its global expansion, with plans to combine with Honduran firm Gustavo Zacapa y Asociados in a bid to broaden its Latin American footprint.
Gustavo Zapaca y Asociados launched in the 1950s and is headquartered in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. According to its website, it currently comprises two partners, three associates, one lawyer, four paralegals and one administrative assistant.
"Our combination in Honduras builds on our momentum in the region and furthers our ability to provide clients with access to talented lawyers and market-leading solutions across Central America and abroad," Dentons Central America regional managing partner Jose Antonio Munoz said in a statement.
The combination is scheduled to take place in September and will add to the firm's ongoing law firm tie-ups around the globe. Dentons now has more than 10,000 lawyers across the globe.
Last week, the firm announced plans to merge with New Zealand-based law firm Kensington Swan, adding 113 lawyers across offices in Wellington and Auckland.
The firm also recently said it plans to add an office in Zimbabwe through a combination with 21-lawyer boutique law firm MawereSibanda.
Dentons also expanded its continental European footing earlier this year with the launch of a corporate practice in Duesseldorf, Germany, as well as a sustainable investment practice in Warsaw, Poland.
