Ince has appointed Michael Volikas and Nick Goldstone as joint managing partners in London, as the firm continues to reforge its brand following Gordon Dadds' takeover last year.

The duo will co-manage the London office of the firm, which in May shortened its name from 'Ince Gordon Dadds' to simply Ince.

The Gordon Dadds Group has stepped up its efforts to capitalise on the Ince brand, which it acquired – along with Ince & Co's remaining partners – for what was last month revealed to be about £21 million.

Volikas formerly sat on legacy Ince & Co's management board from 2012 to 2015 and was global managing partner of Ince & Co's shipping group, and continued his tenure following the December pre-pack takeover.

Goldstone, meanwhile, was head of Gordon Dadds' dispute resolution department. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and other forms of dispute resolution.

Ince & Co's former London head Andrew Jameson left the firm last year after just 12 months in the position, as Gordon Dadds prepared its acquisition.

With Goldstone and Volikas managing London, Ince chief executive and Gordon Dadds Group chief executive Adrian Biles will continue to focus on growing the firm's international footprint.

In a statement, Biles said: "Nick and Michael have the perfect combination of skills and expertise to help our clients in London, as well as grow the business across the UK and abroad.

"With over half a century's experience between them, there isn't a difficult scenario or tricky problem they can't solve and I'm delighted that they have agreed to take on these new roles."
