Travel fare aggregator Skyscanner has appointed Rob Miller as its new general counsel and company secretary.

Miller previously acted as the chief legal officer at Deliveroo, leaving the post in January this year to "pursue some new and exciting projects".

He takes on a newly-expanded role, replacing Carolyn Jameson who had acted as Skyscanner's chief legal officer and company secretary for six years before leaving the company in May, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Miller has held a number of senior legal positions at companies including eBay, Skype, King, and Improbable, the company announced today (August 15).

During his time at King, he led its $7.2bn initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange and eventual sale to Activision Blizzard for $5.9bn.

While at Improbable, he led the $502m Series-B Funding from Softbank, the largest-ever venture financing round for a private British company and the largest Series-B investment in Europe, according to the Skyscanner statement.
