CMS Boosts Africa Presence With Double Firm Tie-Up
The firm has entered two new countries, adding to its existing presence in Angola, Algeria and Morocco.

CMS has added two African law firms to its international network as the firm expands into South Africa and Kenya simultaneously.
It has added South Africa-based RM Partners and Kenya-based Daly & Inamdar Advocates to its system, with both firms agreeing to trade under the CMS name.
The duo's addition adds about 60 lawyers to the firm's international network.
Daly Inamdar Advocates was formed via a merger of two Kenyan law firms and comprises more than 35 lawyers working out of offices in Nairobi and Mombasa.
RM Partners is based in Johannesburg and comprises more than 20 lawyers specialising in legal, tax and transaction advisory services.
The two new bases expand CMS's pan-African presence, which already encompasses offices in Angola, Algeria and Morocco.
CMS's total office count now stands at 75 across 43 countries, according to the firm.
CMS executive partner Duncan Weston said in a statement: "Our clients see Africa as a major growth opportunity and many are looking to expand into key markets on the continent. South Africa and Kenya are both sizeable economies, but they're also gateways into other sub-Saharan markets."
Other international law firms have begun expanding throughout the continent.
Dentons announced five African mergers across Angola, Morocco, Mozambique, Uganda and Zambia last month.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
