DWF has opened its fourth office in Germany, via the recruitment of a local firm's Düsseldorf team.

The U.K. listed law firm has hired Marccus Partners' base in the city for the new launch.

The firm's new office will comprise 10 lawyers, including five partners, and will be headed by Marccus partner Norbert Knuppel.

DWF already has three other German offices – in Berlin, Munich and Cologne. With the addition of the Düsseldorf office, the firm's Germany headcount has grown to more than 80 people.

DWF European chair Ulrich Jungst said in a statement: "This move further builds our international footprint, demonstrating continued delivery on this key IPO objective."

The firm, which listed on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year, has upped its expansion efforts in recent months. It acquired an 85-strong K&L Gates team in Warsaw, and entered an exclusive association with 40-partner Spanish law firm Rousaud Costas Duran, adding bases in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

The firm has also continued its expansion in Australia with a Melbourne law firm merger and further recruitment in the country, while last year it shored up its international credentials ahead of the IPO by formalising ties with U.S. law firm Wood Smith Henning & Berman.

Earlier this month, DWF posted unaudited global revenues of £236 million.
