Latham & Watkins has promoted five of its London lawyers to partner as part of a 33-strong global promotions round.

Last year, Latham made up nine in London in what was an expanded round for the city, with this year's cohort still an increase on the number of London promotions in previous years.

Three corporate lawyers – Stuart Davis, Beatrice Lo and Neil Campbell – have made the cut this year, as have finance lawyers Manoj Bhundia and David Ziyambi. Campbell was listed as one of Legal Week's 40 Under 40 lawyers for private equity earlier this month.

The firm made up another five lawyers New York, with both London and New York making up the bulk of the global round.

The firm also made up one partner apiece in Hamburg and Munich, as well as a litigation lawyer in Brussels. Three lawyers are being promoted in Hong Kong.

Elsewhere in the U.S., four in Houston and Washington D.C., and three each in Chicago and Silicon Valley.

Other U.S. firms to have made up fewer London lawyers to partner this year include Ropes & Gray, which made up just one lawyer in the city; and Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton. which made no London promotions at all.

White & Case, meanwhile, made up three London lawyers in this year's round, a significant decrease on last year.
