Tony West's first official day as chief legal officer at Uber Technologies began by calling regulators to say: "Hi, it's Tony. It's my first day. By the way, I have to tell you about a data breach."
In his first one-on-one interview since joining the San Francisco-based ride-hailing company in late November, West (pictured) shares how the days that followed have been just as "eventful" as his first, during which he hit the ground running by dealing with a previously undisclosed breach of Uber's networks.
