Big data is the new oil? I have been referencing this quote for a couple of years now. It’s useful and nicely captures the gold rush (to use another earth-trapped commodity metaphor) that is underway in the information technology world. However, it’s also fun to take these kind of aphorisms to their logical extension because that is where the real truth lies.
