While many argue that the biggest e-discovery issue for corporate and outside counsel is dealing with massive amounts of data, Ipro Tech President and COO Kim Taylor looks at it a little differently.

“I think many will tell you it's the growth of data. However, I feel that this issue has actually had a positive impact overall for corporations and corporate counsel. The data explosion and associated costs have been the tipping point for many corporations and GCs to really roll up their sleeves and dig into e-discovery,” Taylor said in an interview with Legaltech News. “That process has forced corporations to enhance and embrace technology, and many are seeing significant cost savings because of it. Armed with technology, they can actually focus more on upfront strategy and practicing law by getting through the data, cutting out the junk, and focusing in on the relevant documents faster than ever before.”

The Phoenix, Arizona-based legal software maker recently announced that Altep Inc., a data management and digital forensics company, inked a contract extension to expand its use of Ipro to include the complete Enterprise platform, which comprises Ipro Allegro, Ipro eCapture, and Ipro Eclipse. The platform offers an integrated high-speed service designed to simplify the e-discovery process and reduce overall litigation costs and save review time.
