Guidance Software Inc., maker of e-discovery and forensic software for digital investigations, announced integration between its EnCase eDiscovery product and Dropbox for Business on March 30. The new integration supports EnCase eDiscovery search and collection functions on electronically stored information in Dropbox for Business.

Dropbox for Business provides law firms and corporations file sharing services in Dropbox with administrative capabilities that provide visibility and control over hosted data. The business version of Dropbox includes audit logs to track what is shared and who’s sharing it; content controls that restrict access; and remote wipe features to remove access to data from lost or stolen devices. Dropbox for Business subscribers can also connect their personal and work Dropbox accounts to keep data separate but equally accessible to all their computers and mobile devices.
