DSi

DSi, formerly Document Solutions Inc., an e-discovery software and services provider, promoted John Burchfield from executive vice president to president. Burchfield came to Nashville-based DSi from the provider XMC, also based in Music City. At DSi, Burchfield launched the DSicover product and helped create DSi's Remote Governance and Collections platform and the DSihold product. He has more than 20 years of experience in management, sales and business development, starting with IKON Office Solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile and the company's website.

DTI

Atlanta-based DTI, an e-discovery and legal process outsourcing (LPO) provider, on May 4 appointed Edward James as its chief financial officer. James succeeds Chris Henderson, who transitions to a senior advisor to the DTI board of directors. Henderson served as DTI's CFO for the past 14 years.

James earned an MBA from Cumberland University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance from Mississippi College. Since 2008, James worked as a CFO, treasurer and senior vice president of finance at Birch Communications Inc., a provider of broadband, hosted IT and telecommunications services, according to the public announcement. At Birch, James managed the company's financial operations and executed several mergers and acquisitions and financial transactions to fuel company growth. Before Birch, James held finance leadership positions at Carter's Inc., American Telecom Services Inc. and United Parcel Service.
