LexisNexis Legal & Professional announced today the release of a new version of the LexisNexis Early Data Analyzer software. The Early Data Analyzer provides a sneak-peek into the size and scope of e-discovery. It is designed to reduce the amount of data that needs to be processed for review.

In a survey conducted by The Cowen Group for LexisNexis, researchers surveyed 125 Am Law 200 firms in the U.S. to get their immediate and long-term plans for purchasing e-discovery software. From the survey, “Eight of ten law firms plan to increase spending on culling tools for early case assessment to drive down costs,” said Steve Ashbacher, vice president of litigation solutions, part of the LexisNexis software division.
