In the span of a decade, the legal industry has gone from nearly Stone Age to Space Age when it comes to electronic discovery. Well, maybe not quite, but you get the picture.

A new survey released by HBR Consulting reveals that while technologies have made significant advancements over the past 15 years, law firms are still wrapping their heads around innovation in this area.

The Law Firm E-Discovery Strategy Survey, which identifies trends in law firm e-discovery operations and 2015 planning around staffing, technology, revenue and strategy, concluded that it is high time to elevate the sophistication and expand the scope of e-discovery services provided by law firms. It also reports that many firms have embraced this notion.
