LexisNexis Legal & Professional today announced the release of Lexis Advance Tax, a new Web-based U.S. tax law resource for tax and estate planning professionals, accountants, and government tax officials. The new source contains primary legal authority with legislative histories and access to Shepard's Citations; secondary legal authority in treatises, articles and legal analysis; and current news.

The new website is designed by tax professionals for tax pros. A 13-member customer advisory board and from four to five hundred tax attorneys helped shape the product since 2012, said attorney Ray Camiscioli, director of product strategy and development for tax, estates, accounting and elder Law at LexisNexis. Camiscioli demonstrated to LTN the new product's access to almost 1,400 sources of law, commentary, analysis and news.

Lexis Advance Tax includes materials to support most matters and tasks handled by tax and estate planning practitioners, including litigation, new entity organization, corporate reorganization, estate taxation, and tax compliance. The website is organized on three pages, Federal, State and U.S. International; any one can be set as a home or landing page. Users switch between pages via the pull-down Practice Area menu in the upper-corner of the browser window. See Figure 1.
