HP has announced the release of software solutions this week that are designed to help businesses with their backup and storage processes, in addition to managing Big Data, cloud operations, and challenges with governance. When reached for comment, Joe Garber, Vice President of Information Governance for HP said that they aim “to deliver significant cost savings, minimize risk, and deliver added value to the organization”. With the HP Storage Optimizer, businesses can improve operational infrastructure management, to ultimately lower IT expenditures. The HP ControlPoint solution allows users to “take a more informed step toward the cloud and a hybrid infrastructure to achieve short-term cost savings – and ultimately lower risk of storing the wrong data in the wrong place and increase their ability to tap into the better-quality data for strategic insight, compliance and productivity,” Garber said.
