Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel has announced the appointment of Samantha Ettari as counsel of the firm's e-discovery group, a post which will have Ettari helping clients better understand and serve their e-discovery projects and requirements. Legaltech News recently had an opportunity to talk to Ettari about her move, how she got there and what's next for e-discovery.

“When I joined the firm, I joined as a lateral in 2008, and one of the first projects I worked on was our 'Electronic Discovery Update,' which is a client-facing publication that we put out twice a year,” Ettari said.

Her move into the firm came after a series of federal court clerkships which(among other things) had her working hands-on with many e-discovery related matters. “As a young lawyer I had a lot of experience with cases and parties being brought to court in the discovery realm, and I found it a very intriguing seeing those issues as a case took shape.”
