Everyone loves a good legal war story. Whether it's the trial technology that hit just the right nerve, or the discovery where nothing simply went right, swapping stories can not only provide entertainment, but can also educate listeners both on best practices and what not to do in case of emergency.

At least, that's what the members of the “20 E-Discovery Warnings in 60 Minutes” panel at the upcoming ILTACON 2015 conference are banking on. The unique panel will include a series of live stories from audience members, who will share examples of e-discovery situations gone wrong, explain how the issue was ultimately resolved, and share their lessons learned.

“War stories often are the most popular part of presentations on e-discovery,” session moderator and EDRM Co-Founder George Socha explained in an interview with Legaltech News. “With this structure, we pack in as many war stories as we can from the largest number of people we can. We hope attendees will come away with a lot of food for thought, a cornucopia of ideas they can explore 'in the quiet of their own study,' as my contracts professor used to say.”
