Computing Source — an all-in-one legal technology and support solution for law firms — is launching a new court reporting division that it will incorporate into its existing video deposition service. The company offers e-discovery, computer forensics, copy/scan/print services, expert testimony, trial technology services, demonstrative evidence and trial boards, paralegal on-call support, high-tech court reporting, fixed price meet and consulting, and additional solutions.

The court reporting division provides attorneys on-demand, around-the-clock access to court reporters equipped with real-time tools allowing lawyers to review and annotate their depositions concurrently. It will bolster the video deposition service by allowing users to access the video portion on their computer or tablet via secure proprietary streaming software.

The new court reporting division is part of the in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Chicago branches of the company (of which it has several more around the U.S. Midwest), and is launching under the auspices of Computing Source's Director of Trial Services Erik Schwartz, who has more than 10 years of experience working in the litigation support field. Schwartz is also an NCRA-credentialed trial presentation consultant and holds a paralegal certification from Boston University, in addition to having participated in more than 75 trials in over 25 courthouses across the country. Schwartz and the division itself are working on hiring qualified court reporters.
