It isn't just U.S. companies that can provide the best e-discovery service – kCura has named Inventus's London-based division, UNIFIED, the first supplier outside the U.S. to receive Orange-level Relativity Best in Service recognition for exceptional customer service and experience for Relativity end users. The award, which is the highest the company offers, makes Inventus the first company to hold this status on an international level.

Inventus acquired UNIFIED in March 2015 to help grow its European operations. Trevor Campion, CEO of Inventus, told Legaltech News that handling e-discovery abroad requires a different mindset from handling e-discovery in the U.S.

“There was a very purposeful strategy in Inventus acquiring an established, highly regarded European e-discovery company like UNIFIED,” Campion said. “It is tempting to regard all non-U.S. markets for e-discovery as identical. However, the civil procedural, cultural and data protection norms create a challenge for the unwary and ill prepared. UNIFIED is already deeply ensconced and leading the provision of eDiscovery services in these geographies whilst respecting and advising on the legal and other requirements of each country.”
