On Oct. 6, 2015 the High Court of the European Union declared the Data Safe Harbor agreement between the EU and the United States to be invalid. This date may now live in infamy as the day the digital world will never forget.

Digital Pearl Harbor

In December 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy launched a surprise attack against the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet, then moored in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, ensuring the latter country's entry into World War II. The attack occurred with virtually total surprise, despite an array of warning signs that were present throughout the summer and autumn of that year. The attack rendered most of the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet incapable of action, and stunned that nation's leaders, people and allies alike.
