Aderant Updates Aderant Expert 8.0 Service Pack
Expense management software helps mid-size and large law firms improve cost control.

Legal software provider Aderant has announced updates to its Expert Expense Management (EEM) Software in effort to help law firms improve their expense management. It is available as Aderant Expert 8.0's Service Pack 3.
“Efficiently and accurately managing expenses just got easier,” Aderant Senior Vice President of Strategy and Product Mike Barry explained in a statement released Monday. He said the upgrades expand Aderant's expense management software to “simplify management, reconciliation and reimbursements of employee expenses, while ensuring compliance to firm and client-specific rules.”
Aderant officials said the expanded functionality of its software suite includes features that expedite the work-in-progress (WIP) to cash cycle. The new features also offer easier, quicker ways to manage and reimburse expenses, including the mobile capability to photograph and submit receipts, allowing users greater control over their firm-related costs, Barry said. Among the enhancements offered are upgraded tools for time and billing and project management.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
