Consilio Comes to Agreement to Acquire Huron Legal
Upon the deal's closing, the combined company would become one of the largest global e-discovery, document review and legal consulting service providers.

'Tis the season for shopping, but it's not a new gadget or toy that has international e-discovery and document review services provider Consilio's eye. On Dec. 10, the company announced its intention to purchase Huron Legal, one of the four operating segments of Huron Consulting Group.
The deal is expected to close on Dec. 31, and upon the deal's closing, the combined company would become one of the largest global e-discovery, document review and legal consulting service providers.
Andy Macdonald, CEO of Consilio, told Legaltech News in an interview just before the deal's public announcement that the acquisition came about as the result of an initiative Huron Consulting Group ran, looking for a buyer for the Legal segment.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment.
