Xact Data Discovery Acquires Orange Legal Technologies
The move gives Xact a boost in its West Coast growth while providing access to OrangeLT's proprietary technology in the process.

Xact Data Discovery (XDD) is acquiring Orange Legal Technologies – with the move likely to lead to market expansion.
XDD is a provider of e-discovery, data management and managed review services for corporations, government agencies and law firms. Orange Legal Technologies (OrangeLT) is a provider of audit, investigation and litigation support services. OrangeLT also provides diverse discovery services, too, from forensic data collection to document review.
“Orange Legal Technologies is regarded for their managed review service, as well as their specialization in serving select industries, including pharmaceutical/medical devices; financial services; oil/gas/energy; and intellectual property, antitrust and litigation,” Robert Polus, president and CEO XDD, told Legaltech News. “With XDD's geographic footprint and infrastructure, attorneys in these areas now have even greater access to the expertise and technology we are able to offer as a result of this acquisition.”

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M.
