Data security vendors may promise that their systems can keep company information sealed and secured, but the best, most beefed-up technology can’t protect company data from one of its biggest risk factors: employee behavior.

E-discovery technology company kCura sponsored a study conducted by Harris Poll looking at employee habits around email and social media that could endanger data security. The survey polled over 1,000 full- or part-time employees in traditional office settings, finding that employees use of both work and personal communication platforms could pose large legal risks for companies .
