The idea of cryptocurrencies has U.S. regulators scrambling, and experts disagree about what role virtual currencies such as bitcoin will play in the future legal and economic market. But what if the entity introducing an initial coin offering (ICO) wasn’t a private business, but a government itself?

We may soon find out. The country of Estonia is looking into the possibility of introducing its own cryptocurrency, which could raise some interesting legal questions.
