“Artificial intelligence” (AI) is the buzzword of the hour, but its overuse has contributed to some significant misunderstandings about what AI technology is and how it works. Law firm executives charged with taking on innovation are swimming in a sea of different products and services from companies touting their AI and analytics strategies. Information technology and managed services company Alphaserve Technologies is hoping to help firms take a step back to learn a little more. The company last week launched a set of educational programs to help law firm leaders get a deeper grasp of AI and data analytics concepts.

Arup Das, CEO of Alphaserve Technologies, explained that the program is designed to “bridge the gap for attorneys who don't yet fully understand the fundamentals of AI. Without having a basic comfort level with the concept of AI, firms are not inclined to trust its capabilities.”
