If you want to know a thing or two about cybersecurity, there’s few better to ask than Michael Clauser. While he most recently took over as the new global head of data and trust at public policy at Access Partnership, Clauser served as both Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense and Special Assistant to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy from 2006 to 2008. After that, he was a  National Security Legislative Assistant inside the U.S. House of Representatives until 2010.

Looking ahead, Clauser sees regulation on the near horizon, not just for privacy but potentially even for cryptocurrencies as well. But will that demonstrably improve the security of people’s personal information or just act as a balm to sooth the fears of the general public? Clauser discusses that and more below:
