On Tuesday, the privacy automation company TrustArc announced that it had acquired Nymity, Inc., a data privacy compliance research company.

From a solutions perspective, that means Nymity’s privacy management accountability framework will be merged into TrustArc’s privacy and data governance platform effective immediately. However, the move also increases the company’s global footprint by 50%, which could come in handy as international regulatory compliance demands continue to multiply.
