Dentons is looking to roll out legal delivery service centers to more locations following a six-month pilot in its Watford branch.

The firm's Watford office, which opened in 2016 via the firm's acquisition of U.K. firm Matthew Arnold & Baldwin, has been home to the legal delivery service center since last year.

The Watford center consists of around 25 paralegals, and currently supports the firm on matters where due diligence is required, as well as data subject access requests and chargeable administrative support for some of the firm's bigger client projects.

The team can also be seconded to clients on an ad-hoc basis, and supports large clients with specific tasks from Dentons.

Dentons U.K. and Middle East arm said in a statement that the pilot center had "gone so well that we are now looking to expand it to additional locations".

The firm's chief executive officer for the U.K. and Middle East Jeremy Cohen added in a statement: "Building a smarter delivery model is a key focus for us. We want to make life simpler for our clients.

"Technology is one part of the solution — the 'how' as well as the 'what'. We now have an innovation process that generates new ideas and products, assesses them, tests them and brings them into the workplace. Simplifying our operational processes is another part of the solution."

Other firms have also expanded their service delivery offerings as clients seek cheaper and more innovative services from them. Last year Allen & Overy launched a new support center in Johannesburg, growing the firm's global legal services offering beyond its only other base in Belfast, which opened in 2012.
