There’s a lot that’s changed in the e-discovery industry over the past few months under COVID-19. But as it turns out, a lot has also stayed the same. According to 6th annual “E-Discovery Unfiltered: A Survey of Current Trends and Candid Perspectives” report by Ari Kaplan Advisors, price is still a determinative factor in whom legal clients select for their e-discovery needs. And what’s more, legal departments are continuing to insource more work than ever.

These market current trends means law firms are likely to be bypassed for e-discovery work for potentially more cost effective e-discovery providers. However, Ari Kaplan, principal of Ari Kaplan founders, noted there are ways law firms can survive and thrive in the e-discovery market.
