Thomson Reuters has shifted its focus to more legal technology software in recent years, from divesting managed services business Pangea3 to acquiring collaboration platform HighQ. Now, the company is expanding its legal tech offerings in the courtroom itself.

On Aug. 13, Thomson Reuters announced it has acquired court document and evidence management platform CaseLines. Headquartered in London, CaseLines offers a cloud-based platform for digital evidence, looking to streamline court processes by eliminating paper and creating and managing court documents on a unified platform.

Thomson Reuters' website touts its full court management solution now as "Thomson Reuters Evidence Sharing, powered by CaseLines." For CaseLines itself, the official branding of the entity will be "CaseLines, a Thomson Reuters company."
