With its new solutions like OnePlace for Marketing and its recently announced Integration Service, software company Intapp has spent recent years heavily focused on leveraging the cloud. But now, it is doubling down on cloud services—and only cloud services from here on out.

Intapp announced today that, beginning Jan. 1 it will be selling only cloud-based solutions, including its flagship practice management solution OnePlace. On-premise software will continue to function and be available for service, the company said, with an eye towards supporting those customers "as they get ready to migrate to cloud solutions." New customers will not be available to purchase on-premise software from the company.

Thad Jampol, co-founder and chief product officer at Intapp, told Legaltech News the cloud migration has been occurring in firms for years, and when talking with firm CIOs, "I can't find a single one that just doesn't believe." In fact, while the cloud has been a focus at Intapp for years and "we believe in our hearts that this is the right decision for our clients," it was those CIOs' desire for public backup that helped lead the company to take a public stance.
