Legal tech isn’t immune from outages or system errors, and when it happens, impacted clients aren’t quick to rip up their contracts. Instead, prompt communication and resolution are crucial to maintaining a legal tech client. But after one-too-many outages or cybersecurity scares, clients’ patience could dry up and many search for another vendor.

Software glitches and outages happen. It’s a fact of life that no developer or tech consumer can avoid. In July, for example, Thomson Reuters’ Westlaw legal research platform went down for roughly an hour with no immediate explanation. Recently, Relativity was dealt its own unexpected tech challenge.
