Keeping track of available legal tech tools and explaining how they differentiate from competition is a tall task. But after helping its own attorneys with this challenge, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe wants to make the task easier for in-house counsel as well.

The law firm on Thursday publicly launched its own legal tech directory, The Observatory. Unlike Reynen Court, Orrick noted it doesn’t sell any software on its platform. Instead, the firm said its index will assist corporate legal departments in their digital transformation by delivering legal tech market insights.
