Less than 10 months after securing funding from private equity firm Trivest Partners, Technology Concepts & Design Inc. (TCDI) announced it has acquired e-discovery company Cicayda in a bid to leverage its social media, e-discovery and legal hold features to enhance its own e-discovery capabilities as well as expand its small law firm clientele.

Cicayda’s e-discovery, legal hold and managed document review will remain stand-alone products for the “immediate future,” TCDI CEO Bill Johnson told Legaltech News. But TCDI users can expect to see enhanced features to TCDI’s legal services software and cybersecurity services by mid-2021, Johnson added.
