2020 has been a year that no one could have predicted.

We used to talk about technological evolution in the legal industry, but COVID-19 has spurred a technological revolution. And while vaccines appear to be on the horizon and perhaps an end to the pandemic is now in sight, there will be long-term structural changes forged from the trail of disruption wrought by the virus. Some of these changes will be positive, too. Within the field of law, one sure change is increasing adoption of technology to facilitate better ways of working and, we predict, the acceleration towards powerful technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to boost productivity, ensure better client service and enable diverse ways of working.
