As e-discovery companies look to establish more holistic services around risk management and information governance, they’ve turned to M&A to help bridge gaps in their offering and expand their end-to-end capabilities.

On Thursday, Exterro announced that it acquired digital forensics and e-discovery provider AccessData. Though Exterro did not disclose the amount for which it purchased the company, it did note that the acquisition was a “nine-figure” deal.
