Through acquisitions, Litera Corp. is quickly establishing itself as a legal tech provider that can service the entire legal lifecycle. Today Litera announced it purchased law firm data collector and analyzer Foundation Software Group for an undisclosed amount.

Litera global director of business development and strategy Haley Altman said Foundation Software Group will remain a separate business unit.

Foundation Software Group executive vice president Barry Solomon noted Litera's backing will allow his company to expand the scope of law firm data it collects and analyzes, as well as enhance its software features. "As a smaller company we had to say no to many ideas, and what this [acquisition] allows us to do is do more," Solomon said.
