More lawyers are taking a hands-on approach to more administrative matters, including time entry, opening new matters and case management as they continue to remotely work.

"There seems to be a sizable amount of attorneys that feel they're having to do more admin work in this environment," said HBR Consulting client development vice president Christopher Ryan.

But as lawyers handle more of their time and billing and other admin tasks, firms are noticing administrative support shortcomings and inefficiencies.
