With both clients and outside counsel alike having to still support a remote working environment, many are planning to spend on workflow and process automation tools to elicit greater efficiencies in their decentralized operations. But with so many processes to automate and so little time, where are they prioritizing their efforts? 

The answer might actually be toward building a healthier, longer-term relationship. Tomu Johnson, of counsel at Parsons Behle & Latimer and co-founder and CEO of the firm’s tech subsidiary Parsons Behle Lab, noted that many firms are looking to automate their onboarding process in order to deliver the same level of convenience that clients experience when entering into a relationship with any other online service.
