Virtual settings are well accepted now by the legal industry, after the past year turned on its head what lawyers recognize as their usual environments. Many scenarios now look different: day-to-day meetings, deal closings, socializing, and more recently, decisions on who to promote to partner.

Many top U.K. firms are currently completing their first fully virtual promotions season, with assessment centers, boardroom meetings and business retreats replaced by video interviews, online training and other virtual tech.
