While enterprise legal management (ELM) software provider Mitratech has previously sought to help in-house attorneys address document management, risk and compliance challenges, it’s now seeking to improve how corporate legal departments perform another vital in-house function: evaluating prospective outside counsel. 

Today, the Austin, Texas-based legal tech company announced it acquired AdvanceLaw, a service that vets outside counsel for corporate legal departments.
