Implementing legal tech is no easy feat—even for large software companies’ legal departments. While they may have access to leading product managers and tech experts, that in-house expertise doesn’t soften the resistance to adding new software or processes into a legal department’s workflow or working around legal tech’s limited interoperability.

To be sure, as the nascent legal tech sector grows, software companies’ law departments said the market is promising. However, they note that lingering legal tech issues continue to pose challenges that aren’t easily resolved by legal professionals.
