Change is inevitable—especially in the middle of a global pandemic. Much like law firms and corporate legal departments had to make changes to their operating models in order to continue functioning, law schools too were forced to roll up their sleeves and embrace paradigm shifts such as remote instruction. But even once the public health crisis abates, don't count on law schools going back to business as usual. In addition to sussing out how remote instruction can fit into their curriculum long-term, law schools may also have to contend with the changes the last year and half has delivered onto the legal industry at large—including the new skills students will need to find jobs.
