Legal staffing companies are starting to branch into tech and managed services, while managed services companies are eyeing a similar expansion into staffing. But although both have their reasons for looking at the other side, proficiency in one doesn’t necessarily guarantee success at the other.

There are at least a few companies out there on either side of the dividing line who are willing to give it a try. Last week, outsourcing and staffing resources provider Forrest Solutions announced that it was launching a dedicated division called Forest Solutions Legal. In addition to staffing needs, the legal division will also offer e-discovery, compliance and information governance-related managed services.
