Communication archiving and compliance company Smarsh today announced that it plans to acquire the Digital Safe archiving and risk management product portfolio from enterprise software provider Micro Focus. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, pending regulatory approval.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. A press release announcing the news did not directly state whether Micro Focus would remain a separate product line or be fully integrated into Smarsh's own offering, nor whether all Digital Safe employees would transition to Smarsh.
