In recent years, Litera ruled the legal tech M&A market, conducting a dozen acquisitions since 2019 and five last year alone, including contracts review software company Kira Systems, law firm data collector and analyzer Foundation Software Group and more. And now, the company is set to begin 2022 in much the same way: through acquiring a company to further build out its all-in-one legal offering.

Today, Litera announced it has acquired California-based Lynch Marks, the developer of the PS/Ship product suite. PS/Ship provides a shipping management, package tracking and invoice processing system with a primary focus on the Am Law 200 and other corporate and service organizations.

The monetary terms of the deal have not been publicly disclosed. Litera said in a press release that Lynch Marks will continue to operate as a stand-alone business until at least the second half of 2022. Lynch Marks founder Peter Marks will be exiting the company, but Nick Adams will continue on as the company's general manager, the release noted.
